Scrum Dashboard

Accept provides rich capabilities for managing agile development, whether Scrum, XP, FDD, or other methodologies. The Accept Scrum Dashboard provides a role-based command center that lets you create and manage all aspects of your agile development plan. For example, a product owner can choose to display My Sprints, Backlog, Sprint Tasks, and Sprint Burndown reports as primary views.

The My Sprints panel provides all the capabilities needed to plan and initiate the sprints required for your release. With Accept, it is simple to:

  • Create a sprint and assign a timebox
  • Assign the project team
  • Assign user stories to the sprint and decompose them into tasks.

Sprint Drill Downs

Clicking on any sprint you have created provides a portal to all of the relevant information captured within Accept. For example, clicking on any task listed within an open sprint window displays its:

  • Task status (i.e., completed, blocked, etc.)
  • Description and scope
  • Dependencies on other tasks
  • Relationships/value vs. business drivers
  • Implementation plan, including hours and costs
  • Discussion threads, notes, and attached files
  • Comments from stakeholders outside the agile team
  • History

Similarly, opening the sprint’s team window lists the members, team velocity, permissions, and resource assignments – in addition to discussion threads, notes, and attachments – and allows for easy communication with all team members.

The My Sprints view – along with other dashboard views such as Backlog, Sprint Tasks, and Sprint Burndown – play important roles as you manage resource constraints and value trade-offs during a sprint iteration.
